Every day, we work to reduce our plastic use even more. But even now, our test cassette is not comparable to conventional rapid tests which are usually made of ABS, polystyrene, PP, or other petroleum-based plastics. We replace all of that with FSC-certified cardboard and rely on renewable raw materials instead of fossil materials.

Many tests are shipped or flown over long distances from Asia to Europe. We create shorter supply chains. Our rapid tests are developed in Germany and produced in Switzerland. This reduces transport kilometers, lowers emissions, and ensures high environmental and quality standards in manufacturing.
Advantages over plastic
Not only are our test cassettes paper-based, but everything around them as well. From primary packaging to the
shipping carton, we minimize plastic wherever possible – and that brings several advantages:
Our paper-based rapid tests are about 50% lighter and more compact than conventional plastic test cassettes. This saves transport volume and reduces transport emissions.
Many plastic systems generate production waste: two parts must fit together precisely. Our folding cassette is made from a single piece, reducing waste already during manufacturing.
More paper, less plastic: this creates better resource cycles and reduces fossil CO₂ as well as plastic residues during incineration.
